Azarov: Government working on affordability of home buying program
The Ukrainian government is preparing a decision in order to make programs for the purchase of housing more affordable for Ukrainians, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"We need to organize government programs to support the construction industry. We have such programs as '30 to 70,' 'mortgage lending,' and 'the cheapening of loans.' How can these programs be made more widespread and affordable for people? We are now preparing a respective decision," he told reporters in Kyiv on Thursday after inspecting the work of a plant for reinforced concrete production.
Azarov said construction was a driver for the development of the domestic market.
