Hryschenko: Obama's new term in office to bring new opportunities for development of relations between Kyiv and Washington
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko has congratulated U.S. citizens on the holding of their presidential election.
"Barack Obama has won. I'm congratulating the Americans on their choice. Obama's new term in office means new opportunities for the development of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States," he wrote on his page on Twitter.
Hryschenko said he liked that that "despite all of the passions in the campaign, Mitt Romney immediately conceded his defeat and congratulated the winner."
"This is an important element of democracy," he said.
