Yanukovych expects Ukraine-US relations to develop further under Obama's presidency
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has congratulated U.S. President Barack Obama on his re-election as president of the United States of America.
"The U.S. people confirmed their trust in you personally and in the policies of your administration, which will be a guarantee of the successful implementation of the reforms you started, and an effective response to the current challenges facing the United States," reads the Ukrainian president's address, which was posted on his official Web site on Wednesday.
Yanukovych said he believes that during Obama's second presidential term the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States will continue to develop fruitfully, in a spirit of friendship, mutual understanding and constructive cooperation, for the benefit of both peoples.
