U.S. notes importance of transparent vote count in Rada elections
Washington is closely following the parliamentary elections in Ukraine and notes the importance of a transparent count of votes both for party list and for individual candidates.
"We are closely watching the election, our observations and comments are submitted to the Ukrainian government," U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft told reporters during a breakfast ceremony to sum up the results of the U.S. presidential election in the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv on Wednesday.
According to him, at this point it is important that the results of the parliamentary elections in Ukraine should reflect the will of the Ukrainian people, in terms of their support to both parties and individual candidates running in single-member constituencies.
