The Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union is planning to table in the Verkhovna Rada of the new convocation a draft law banning the Communist ideology, Svoboda leader Oleh Tiahnybok has said.
"We will propose a law banning the Communist ideology as misanthropic and anti-Ukrainian and holding a public trial of communism," he said on Radio Liberty.
The politician said he was unhappy that the Ukrainian Communist Party had collected more votes in the current elections than in the previous ones.
