Communists to raise question of lifting parliamentary immunity
The Communist Party of Ukraine is planning to return to the consideration of a bill lifting parliamentary immunity, party leader Petro Symonenko has said.
"I would like to remind you of a story that happened five years ago. Five years ago, [the question of lifting parliamentary immunity] was discussed before the elections... and as soon as they were held, they forgot about it, apart from the Communist Party faction. But it was not supported. I'm now stating that apart from the Communist Party faction, nobody will return to this subject," he said at a briefing on Sunday.
