Ukraine PM: Hryvnia won't fall after parliamentary elections
The hryvnia will not fall after the parliamentary elections, said Ukraine's Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
"There are no reasons whatsoever for making grim forecasts," he said in an interview with 1+1 Channel on Thursday, October 25.
He said that forecasts about the likely devaluation of the hryvnia and economic recession have been circulating for more than two years. However, the situation and the hryvnia remain stable, and the food market is stable, too, he said. "Ukraine's economy has been steadily developing despite problems, Azarov said.
