Kolesnikov opens Darnytsia center for servicing high-speed interregional trains
Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov and Ukrzaliznytsia Director General Volodymyr Kozak opened the Darnytsia technical passenger station for servicing high-sped interregional electric trains in Kyiv on Wednesday.
According to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, the Darnytsia station includes a wagon repair complex, a repair workshop and other facilities to service trains.
The tracks in the maintenance workshop are equipped with devices for wheel pair replacement without detaching wagons from trains.
During the opening ceremony Kozak noted that the station uses modern equipment of foreign and domestic production.
"I'm convinced that we have to start all the tasks assigned by the government and the president for quality passenger transportation from the creation of conditions for preparing trains for trips, passenger service. Here everything is at a high level," Kozak said.
