A subway line towards the Troyeschyna housing area will be built within four to five years, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"To tell the truth, if everything is alright, the subway line will be ready in 4-5 years," he said at a meeting with residents of the housing area following the opening of high-speed train service in Kyiv on Wednesday.
According to the premier, Kyiv's building schedule for 2013-2014 includes the completion of Podilsky Bridge, and during this period of time the builders of the bridge will also carry out the necessary preparations for the construction of the subway line to Troyeschyna.
