President opens reconstructed Sports Palace in Yenakiyeve

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has attended the opening of the reconstructed Sports Palace in Yenakiyeve, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state said that the restoration of the Sports Palace was a good example of cooperation between the state and private investors.

"We resorted to a public-private partnership, and this partnership is currently reflected in the fact that our philanthropists are assuming the settling of many social issues," Yanukovych said on Thursday.

He also said that the state should guarantee the support and maintenance of such facilities in good condition after their reconstruction.

Yanukovych inspected the renovated sports complex and spoke with footballers from the Yenakiyevets local futsal team. He also proposed creating children's sports schools at similar sports complexes.
