President says regions should cooperate to draw in investment
Ukraine's regions should cooperate with each other to draw in investment, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said at the Fifth International Investment Summit in Donetsk on Thursday.
"The task of the authorities is to find the best ways for [interregional cooperation] development. In connection with this, I would like to note that Ukraine and Russia have positive experience in such cooperation," he said.
According to the president, the Subcommission on Interregional and Border Cooperation and the Economic Cooperation Committee of the Ukraine-Russia Interstate Commission are working on the issue.
The president said he hoped that the active position of officials from Ukrainian regions and diplomats would contribute to applying this experience to other countries.
