Regions Party needs intensification of ideological work, says Azarov

Chairman of the Regions Party and Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov has said that ideological work should be intensified in the Regions Party.

"Our political force is used to solving economic problems and putting aside ideological issues. And we can feel that now we have to take a very serious step forward. We cannot surrender ideology to the Orange [oppositional political forces]," he said at a meeting with the veterans of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sevastopol on Thursday.

In particular, Azarov said he was concerned that the heroes of the Great Patriotic War are being defamed in Ukraine.

On October 18, the premier took a day-off to hold pre-election agitation for the Regions Party.
