UDAR leader refuses to form alliance with Ukraine's ruling party
The UDAR party will not form an alliance with the Regions Party and the Communist Party in Ukraine's new parliament, UDAR's leader Vitali Klitschko has said.
"We are the main alternative to the Regions Party. Why? It is because other parties have either already cooperated or tried to work together with the ruling party. I am certain that in the new parliament we need to form a majority with parties that are committed to Ukraine's democratic future. I would like to declare that there can be no alliances with parties that have discredited themselves or demonstrated their couldn't-care-less attitude toward the people - namely the Regions Party and the Communists," he said at a press conference in Ivano-Frankivsk.
