Ukraine to continue cooperation in space sphere with number of countries, says premier
Ukraine will deepen its cooperation in the space sphere with Russia, the United States, and the countries of the EU, South America, Asia, and Africa, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"Ukraine is deepening its cooperation in the space sphere with a number of powerful countries of the world – Russia, the United States, the countries of the EU, South America, Asia, and Africa. The government has approved a number of instructions on the further development of space activities," he said while opening a meeting of the government on Wednesday.
According to Azarov, next year the building of the Cyclone-4 space rocket complex and a ground facility at the Alcantara Launch Center (Brazil).
In addition, the construction of An-70 cargo aircraft, Sapsan multipurpose missile system, and corvettes will continue in 2012.
