Modern irrigation system to be constructed in Kherson region soon, says Yanukovych

A modern irrigation system will be constructed in Kherson region soon, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.

"We're planning to construct a modern irrigation system in the near future," the presidential press service quoted him as saying during the opening of the City Heart Center in Kherson on Thursday.

According to the head of state, the repairs and modernization of the region's irrigation and reclamation systems should speed up in order to improve the situation with harvest.
