Tymoshenko wants to meet with OSCE PA vice-president
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has given her written consent to a meeting with Walburga Habsburg Douglas, vice-president of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and head of the OSCE's observation mission for parliamentary elections in Ukraine.
According to the press service of the Batkivschyna Party, Tymoshenko's daughter, Yevhenia Tymoshenko, announced this on Wednesday.
"We discussed this issue at a meeting with my mother. She said that she had already informed the leadership of the Kachanivska penal colony in writing about her consent to meet with Walburga," Tymoshenko said.
Habsburg Douglas, who is currently on a visit to Ukraine, has sent a formal request for a meeting with Tymoshenko to the Foreign Ministry, the Prosecutor General's Office and the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine, Batkivschyna said.
