UK singer Brightman to fly to ISS as tourist after 2013
British singer Sarah Brightman will be the next space tourist and will travel to the International Space Station after 2013.
Brightman said at a news conference in Moscow on Wednesday that she wants to participate in a space flight and recently received a confirmation from the Russian space agency Roscosmos that she had passed medical and physical fitness tests and was cleared to start training.
She said she would start a six-month training course after her world tour ends in 2013.
The date of the flight is being negotiated with Roscosmos and other partners in the ISS project, Brightman said.
