Staff of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies not to be reduced, says Azarov
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that there is the proper number of employees at law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, and promised not to cut staff.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian government, the premier said this in Odesa during a ceremony to present patrol cars to the region's police.
"The talk about a reduction in the number of policemen is ungrounded. We have an optimal structure today, and an optimal combination of technical services, operative employees, and patrol services," Azarov said.
At the same time, the premier said that the government would improve social protection of policemen. According to him, wages of policemen will increase again next year.
