20 Ukrainian warships, motor boats, service vessels being repaired, says Defense Ministry

Some 20 warships, motor boats, and service vessels of the Ukrainian Naval Forces are being repaired, Commander of the Naval Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ilyin has said.

"Works are carried out according to the schedule and certain sums of funding are transferred regularly," the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine quoted Ilyin on Tuesday.

The commander of the Naval Forces said that the repairs will be finished by the end of the year. According to him, "increased attention to the problems of the navy allowed to change strategic approaches from support of technical readiness and repairs of separate units and mechanisms to overhauls of warships and complete renewal of their fighting capabilities."
