Azarov: Diplomatic missions abroad should debunk myths about Ukraine
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said there is a need to strengthen the information component in the work of Ukraine's diplomatic missions abroad.
"The international community should be thoroughly informed about the course of our changes, and that Ukraine is confidently walking the path of democracy and socio-economic reform. The missions should strengthen their explanatory work, consistently debunk myths and the sometimes purposeful disinformation campaigns waged against Ukraine," he said at a meeting with the heads of Ukraine's diplomatic missions abroad in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He said that diplomats should not miss any opportunity to form a positive image of the country on the international arena.
