MPs refuse to extend moratorium on sale of agricultural land until January 1, 2014
The Ukrainian parliament has refused to extend a moratorium on the sale of agricultural land until January 1, 2014.
MPs have not supported a bill submitted by BYT-Batkivschyna MP Volodymyr Yavorivsky and a bill sent by Communist Party faction leader Petro Symonenko, who proposed extending the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land until January 1, 2014.
A total of 111 and 102 MPs respectively voted for a respective bill at first reading.
A law extending the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land until January 1, 2013 is currently in effect in Ukraine.
