Parliament could consider draft state budget for 2013 in November, says Lytvyn
The Verkhovna Rada could consider the draft state budget for 2013 in November, Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn has said.
"We still have two working weeks in November. By then we need to consider and adopt a number of bills aimed at increasing [state budget] revenues. Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers will finalize the budget for 2013. I hope that there will be an opportunity to consider it in November so as to comply with constitutional terms for the adoption of the budget by December 1, 2012," he said at a press conference on Monday, while speaking about the prospects of the consideration and adoption of the state budget for 2013 in parliament.
Lytvyn noted that this issue had been discussed at a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council.
