Ukraine to provide humanitarian aid to people affected by armed conflict in Syria
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure the provision of humanitarian assistance to those states in the Middle East affected by the armed conflict in Syria.
A relevant decree was signed on September 26 and posted on the president's Web site.
According to the document, the reason for sending humanitarian aid is the situation that has developed in some countries of the Middle East as a result of the armed conflict in Syria.
The cabinet should ensure the provision of humanitarian assistance through United Nations mechanisms.
