Ukraine's revised draft budget for 2013 to be submitted to new parliament, says economy minister
The revised draft state budget of Ukraine for 2013 will be presented to the new Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine after the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 28, 2012.
Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Minister Petro Poroshenko told this to journalists in Kyiv on Monday.
"As far as I know, the prime minister said that [the draft budget] would be sent to the parliament of the new convocation," he said.
At the same time, speaking of the possible gas price envisaged in the amended draft budget, Poroshenko said that the agreements on reverse gas supplies from the Slovak Republic and certain progress in talks with Russia suggest that the price of gas for Ukraine wouldn't go up.
As reported, on September 12 the government approved and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the draft state budget for 2013. However, after discussion with the parliamentary budget committee, Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn returned the document for revision. The text of the draft state budget hasn't been made public.
