Russia starts flying UAVs at very low altitudes under manual control – Ministry of Defense
Russia is using the tactic of flying strike drones at ultra-low altitudes in manual control mode, the newly appointed advisor to the Ukrainian Defense Minister on defense technology, Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov has said.
"Yesterday I had a meeting with specialized commanders and specialists... Our enemy uses a variety of tactics and tricks to destroy our military facilities. One of the latest is flying at ultra-low altitudes in manual control mode. And this altitude, as in the video, can be tens of meters," he wrote on Telegram.
At the same time, Beskrestnov noted that the Defense Forces have technological solutions to counter such tactics.
"We have technological solutions and we will act, but for now I ask you to set up remote visual and audio surveillance posts and be ready to meet guests with mobile and stationary cover groups, even if the "Virazh" and other systems are silent... Pay special attention to riverbeds, plains and long depressions in the terrain," the minister's advisor added. He asks all units to take note of this information.
