7th Corps eliminates at least 40 Russian soldiers attempting to advance using gas pipeline in Kharkiv region

Soldiers of the 7th Airborne Assault Forces Corps in the Kupyansk direction (Kharkiv region) thwarted an enemy attempt to storm Ukrainian positions, using the Soyuz gas pipeline for a covert exit and accumulation of forces, eliminating at least 40 occupiers, the corps’ press service has said.

"In the Kupyansk direction, the corps thwarted an enemy attempt to storm using the Soyuz gas pipeline. The enemy tried to use the gas pipeline for a covert exit and further accumulation of forces," the corps said on Telegram on Monday.

Russia used about 50 soldiers in the attack, but the fighters of the 77th Separate Airmobile Brigade timely detected the enemy’s intentions and, in cooperation with adjacent units, stopped the enemy’s assault. The elimination of at least 40 enemy soldiers was confirmed.

"According to the results of the operation, the enemy did not achieve the set objectives, and the situation in the zone of responsibility is stabilized," the corps’ press service said.
