he Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has supported the city's population during the four-day blackout in Vyshhorod (Kyiv region).
"During this time, more than 2,500 people received assistance at URCS points," the URCS said on Facebook.
Four URCS aid points operated in Vyshgorod, where residents could charge their phones, rest, get hot drinks, or fill thermoses with water. Volunteers were constantly on duty to provide first aid if necessary. In addition, they provided the State Emergency Service (SES) points with places to rest and first aid backpacks in case of emergencies.
Volunteers from the rapid response units of the Kyiv region, the Bila Tserkva branch, and the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society operated at the locations.
The volunteers worked in close coordination with the SES of Ukraine and other special services.
URCS aid stations in the city will operate as long as they are needed.
