Zelenskyy discusses Ukraine's recovery and energy resilience with Freeland
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Chrystia Freeland, Canada's former Deputy Prime Minister and Special Representative for Ukraine's Reconstruction, to discuss key areas of cooperation in rebuilding the country.
According to the president, the talks focused on restoring infrastructure, strengthening Ukraine's energy resilience, and engaging Canadian businesses in major reconstruction projects.
"I am grateful to Mark Carney, the Canadian people, and Ms. Freeland for Canada's unwavering support for Ukraine, particularly in strengthening our air defense and for contributions to the PURL initiative, which provides us with weapons for our defense," Zelenskyy noted in a Facebook post.
Earlier Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko also discussed with Freeland Canada's support for frontline regions, veteran rehabilitation, and involving Canada in these initiatives.
