URCS helping victims of Russian air strike on Chernihiv
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) in Chernihiv were assisting victims of the Russian air strike on the city.
“Throughout the day on 27 October, the city once again came under attack. The emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Chernihiv region, together with the regional branch team, arrived at the site of the strike. Volunteers provided tarpaulins and OSB boards to residents whose homes had been damaged,” URCS said on Facebook Tuesday.
Volunteers also provided first aid to an injured dog and took it to a veterinary clinic for further care.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, yesterday’s drone attack hit a technical building of an enterprise in Chernihiv. In other districts, the strikes caused fires and damage to buildings, and a woman was rescued.
