3 Ukrainian films make European Film Academy award shortlist
Three Ukrainian films have been shortlisted for the European Film Awards 2025, the Ukrainian Film Academy reports.
"Today, the European Film Academy announced the shortlist of films competing for the European Film Awards 2025. Three Ukrainian films have been shortlisted," the Academy said in a statement.
In particular, the shortlist includes the documentary "Militantropos" (directed by Elizaveta Smith, Alina Gorlova, Semen Mozgovy) about a man in war.
Also shortlisted is the film "Songs of a Slowly Burning Earth" (directed by Olha Zhurba) about changes in society during the war.
In addition, the film "Daddy's Little Scratch" (directed by Yegor Harmash) about the relationship between a daughter and a father during the war is also in the running for the award.
As reported, in 2022, the Ukrainian film "Pamfir" directed by Dmytro Sukholytky-Sobchuk was nominated for an award from the European Film Academy.
