Fighters of the special unit Artan of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have received 18 new Baton unmanned aerial systems from the Nashebachennya project and the Diana Podolyanchuk Charity Fund.
GUR said on Telegram on Tuesday morning that Baton is a high-precision UAV of Ukrainian production with FPV guidance. "This is an effective, battlefield-tested weapon capable of destroying moving and static military targets of the Russian occupation army," the intelligence officers said.
According to information, the team of the Nashebachennya project collected more than UAH 3 million for GUR special forces during charity concerts: UAH 1 million of which was spent on the purchase of Baton drones, another UAH 2 million for the production of Magura surface unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
"Our gratitude to all benefactors and citizens who continue to support the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine in the war against the Russian invaders," the GUR said.
