Kallas: Such continued reckless escalation threatens regional security

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, responded to the incident with the penetration of a Russian drone into Romanian airspace. Kallas outlined her position on the X platform on Sunday.

“The violation of Romanian airspace by Russian drones is yet another unacceptable breach of an EU Member State's sovereignty. This continued reckless escalation threatens regional security. We stand in solidarity with Romania. I am in close contact with the Romanian government,” Kallas said on X, stressing that such “continued reckless escalation threatens regional security.”
