Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski arrived in Kyiv; his Ukrainian colleague Andriy Sybiha met him at the capital’s train station.
"Greetings, Andriy Sybiha," he wrote on the social network X, posting a photo.
The visit is taking place against the backdrop of an incident involving Russian drones violating Polish airspace.
The UN Security Council meeting, convened at Poland's request after it accused Russia of violating its airspace with drones, will reportedly take place at 21:00 Kyiv time on Friday, September 12, The Guardian reported.
On September 10, Sikorski held consultations with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha following the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones.
