Road accident in Kirovograd region kills 6, including child - SES

A large-scale accident involving a MAN bus and a Mercedes minibus killed six people, including a child, and injured six others, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) has said.

"Consequences of a large-scale accident: six people died, including a child, and six others were injured, they were hospitalized. A fatal car wreck involving a MAN bus and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus occurred near the village of Khmelove, Novoukrainsky district," SES said on Telegram on Thursday.

Rescuers reportedly freed the bodies of the deceased from the mangled vehicles.

Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
