Defense Intelligence, Third Corps regain control over Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region

Units of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with fighters of the Third Assault Brigade, conducted a successful offensive operation and knocked out Russian troops from the settlement of Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

As the Intelligence Agency press service reported on the Telegram channel, the Artan unit of the Department of Active Operations of the Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense and the second Assault Battalion of the Third Assault Brigade participated in the assault.

According to the department, the operation caught the enemy by surprise: the enemy lost about a company of personnel and was forced to transfer reserves from other parts of the front.

"Thanks to the coordinated work of intelligence, attack aircraft, heavy equipment and UAVs, Ukrainian units improved their tactical position and strengthened the defense of the strip in the direction. As of now, Novomykhailivka has been cleared of Russians and is under the full control of the Ukrainian army. Our flags are returning to where they should be," the message says.
