Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers welcome evacuation train in Mukachevo
Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) volunteers welcomed another evacuation train in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region, carrying residents from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
"Yesterday, another evacuation train arrived in Mukachevo with 20 residents from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, including 12 children. The youngest is just two years old," the URCS reported on Facebook on Wednesday.
Members of the URCS rapid response unit in Zakarpattia region helped receive the evacuees, providing first aid and psychological support to those for whom the journey proved too difficult.
In addition to URCS volunteers, rescuers, psychologists, and social service representatives were on hand to greet the arrivals. The evacuees were offered a rest area at the station before being relocated within Zakarpattia, along with snacks and drinking water.
