Defense forces thwart enemy assault on Pokrovsk axis

Ukrainian defense forces have thwarted the assault of the Russian occupiers on the Pokrovsk axis, National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko has said.

"The Russians made another attempt to break through in the area of responsibility of the Spartan brigade of the National Guard. Aerial reconnaissance recorded the movement of an enemy armored personnel carrier. As a result of professional actions, a platoon of Russians was destroyed, the assault attempt was thwarted," he wrote in a telegram.

According to Pivnenko, Ukrainian fighters promptly worked out the enemy's equipment and personnel with drones and artillery.

Meanwhile, over the past day, the guardsmen have repelled 27 enemy assault actions along the front line.

Three units of armored vehicles, eight artillery systems, two mortars, nine units of automotive equipment and two ammo depots were destroyed.
