More than 200 candidates apply for repeat HACC judge competition, new appointments expected within year - chief of staff
The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) hopes to appoint new HACC judges in July next year, 205 candidates have submitted documents for 23 vacancies of judges for the repeated competition.
In an exclusive interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency, the HACC's chief of staff, Bohdan Kryklyvenko, said that the acceptance of documents ended on August 6, and the commission begins work with candidates.
"Some 205 candidates have submitted documents for 23 vacancies of judges. There is a schedule published by the High Qualification Commission of Judges (HQCJ), which provides that in March 2026 they plan to complete their part of the work. And then there is the Supreme Judicial Council and the Presidential Decree," the head of the Court's staff noted.
He added: "We hope that somewhere in a year, for example, in July next year, we will talk about how successfully the competition was held and how effectively the new judges who began administering justice were selected."
