Zelenskyy appoints Umerov as NSDC secretary – decree
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree appointing Rustem Umerov as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).
Corresponding document No. 496/2025 was published on the presidential website.
Previously, Umerov headed the country's Defense Ministry.
Also, presidential decree No. 495/2025, which dismisses the previous Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, was made public.
