CCD: Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant in Russia attacked
In Russia, facilities in Moscow and Rostov regions were attacked, said head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Kovalenko.
"Despite the difficult night, there is also good news. Facilities were attacked in Russia, in particular, in Moscow and Rostov regions. The Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant was attacked," Kovalenko wrote on the Telegram channel.
He added that this enterprise "manufactures critical components for the Russian army: sights, rangefinders, thermal imagers and fire control systems for tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, ships and even aircraft. It is here that the ‘eyes’ for Russian armored vehicles are assembled."
Russian media outlets also report an attack on a substation in the Zirochka neighborhood of Sergiyev Posad, Moscow region. As a result of the drone attack, five neighborhoods of the city were left without power.
