Zelenskyy suggests EU create intl platform for dual-use goods export control
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy suggests EU leaders create international platform for dual-use goods export control to stop supplies to Russia of goods that can be used for weapons production.
"As long as Russia finds ways to buy parts and equipment for weapons – it keeps killing. That’s why we need a full stop to all supplies to Russia of anything that is – or could be – used for making weapons. It is high time we established an efficient international platform to control dual-use exports – and it could be one of achievements of the Danish Presidency, we can work on it together," Zelenskyy said during his address to the participants of the gala dinner on the occasion of the start of the Danish presidency of the Council of the EU.
The President also stressed the need for sanctions against the Russian Federation and its banking system.
"As long as Russian banks can still operate in Europe and other key parts of the world – Russia keeps ignoring diplomacy. We must push it back toward diplomacy," he added.
