GUR strikes Saratovorgsintez oil refinery in Russia’s Saratov region
On July 1, units of the Main Intelligence Agency (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the territory of the oil refinery of JSC Saratovorgsintez in Saratov region of the Russian Federation, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"The capacity of this oil refinery is used by the occupiers to provide fuel and lubricants to Russian military units involved in armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff stated.
A hit on the territory of the facility has been confirmed - in particular, technological installations were damaged, a fire broke out. The outcomes of the damage are being clarified.
"The Defense Forces continue to take measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and force the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
