According to the repatriation procedure in 2025, some 20 bodies of Russian military personnel were transferred to Ukraine along with the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers, according to the examinations, three of them already have full confirmation and they have been returned to the Russian Federation, said Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.
"The bodies are transferred to the Russians only after one hundred percent confirmation of the match. Three bodies were transferred to the Russians, they were a full match," he said in a commentary to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
He added: "We are waiting for the DNA of relatives. Therefore, we want the relatives [of Russians] to submit their DNA so that we can confirm."
