Rubio insists on importance of continuing talks between Ukraine, Russia
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during a conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot, spoke in favor of continuing Ukrainian-Russian negotiations, the office of US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce reported on Saturday.
The topics of conversation between the two high-ranking officials were the situation in the Middle East, Iran's nuclear program, and ending the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine.
“Secretary Rubio underscored the importance of continued direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to achieve a lasting peace. They also reiterated their shared commitment to preventing Iran from developing or obtaining a nuclear weapon,” the US State Department reported.
