Zelenskyy: It will be hard to end war without USA

Without US support, it will be difficult to achieve a quick and fair peace, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

"It will be difficult to achieve this goal, the desired goal, to end the war as quickly as possible and have a fair peace. And a quick end and a fair peace will be difficult to achieve without the United States. Without the United States, there will be more losses. This is a fact. Therefore, I would not like to consider this option. But this is our destiny, our land, our life. One way or another, we will end this war," Zelenskyy said in an interview with CBS News, aired on Sunday April 13.

He emphasized that Ukraine would like a stronger position from the United States.

"The United States of America is our partner. We count on the United States. But today the United States has taken the position of a mediator. But I do not know, history will show, the future will show... I want to believe that this position will work for a quick end to the war," the president said.
