Detailed ceasefire plan to be discussed Sunday, March 23 – Witkoff
Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff announced that the details of a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia will be worked out in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday. He said this on Fox News on Tuesday.
“We have some details to work out, of course, but that will begin on Sunday in Jeddah and beyond that we’ll move to a full ceasefire and we had some good conversation today on ingredients to achieve that. So, all in all really positive results,” Witkoff said.
He added that the draft ceasefire agreement covers strikes on infrastructure in general, not just energy facilities.
Witkoff stressed that the United States expects Ukraine to support the agreements reached during the talks between Trump and Putin.
It is not yet known whether Ukraine will attend these talks.
