Poroshenko, Chinese ambassador discuss Russian aggression, strategy for restoring just peace

Leader of the European Solidarity party, MP Petro Poroshenko met with the newly appointed Ambassador of China to Ukraine Ma Shengkun and discussed, in particular, issues of Russian aggression against Ukraine, strategies for restoring a long-term, sustainable and just peace.

"A meaningful meeting with the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Ma Shengkun. We discussed a wide range of issues, paying significant attention to countering Russian aggression against Ukraine and strategies for restoring a long-term, sustainable and just peace," Poroshenko reported on X.

"The unacceptability of Russian attacks against civilian and critical infrastructure, in particular energy complex and nuclear energy facilities, was noted. The importance of supporting the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, primarily respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, was emphasized," Poroshenko stressed.

Particular attention was paid to bilateral dialogue as a tool for strengthening peace, security, justice and prosperity, noted the leader of European Solidarity.
