Ukraine should not accept what is dictated to it, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in a message on Platform X following the meeting of European leaders in Paris.
"It is a difficult situation for Europe. We welcome the talks about peace for Ukraine. But it must be a fair and sustainable peace. And: Ukraine must be part of these talks. Europe will keep on supporting Ukraine. This is what I stressed in my meetings with President Zelenskyy," Scholz said.
He also noted that NATO is based on the fact that "we always act together and share the risk." According to the German chancellor, there should be no division of security and responsibility between Europe and the United States.
