Rada recommended removing Poroshenko from plenary sessions
The Parliamentary Committee on Rules of Procedure recommended that the Verkhovna Rada suspend the leader of the European Solidarity party Petro Poroshenko from the plenary sessions for six months, said co-chairman of the faction Iryna Gerashchenko.
"The Regulatory Committee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada decide to suspend Poroshenko from the plenary sessions for six months, for the entire 13th session. The Servants [the Servants of the People] and the Opposition Platform For Life voted for this ... with six affirmative votes, while three abstained, and one was against," Gerashchenko wrote on Telegram on Thursday.
She is convinced that MPs from the Servants of the People faction are creating a parliamentary crisis and jeopardizing Ukraine's European integration.
As reported, after the court's decision to ban the Opposition Platform for Life party in 2022, the MPs elected to the Verkhovna Rada from this political force joined the newly created factions Platform for Life and Peace and Vidnovlennia Ukrayiny [Ukraine’s Recovery].
