Zelenskyy believes Israel starts to change its position on military aid to Ukraine

Ukraine has not received military aid from Israel, which wanted to be in balance between Russia and Ukraine, but is now beginning to change its position, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Yes, I asked Israel, all the leaders, to help me with military aid. They did not help. They said 'no.' They wanted to be in balance with Russia, with us, between us. But I think that now they have begun to change their position," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Italian journalist Cecilia Sala, who was released from Iranian captivity on January 8.

However, the president said he was not sure about this, and it would be better to ask the Israeli side.

Some Western media outlets have reported in recent days on cargo planes from Israel to Rzeszow, Poland, where aid is coming from to Ukraine.

Before this, Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel voiced a proposal to transfer to Ukraine Russian-made weapons captured by the IDF in Lebanon or elsewhere from Israel's enemies.
